Keep it Real and Honest
I call it a diary because you will have to be honest with yourself. It is personal – so be specific as much as can. Put in any additional information you think might be useful in any of the spaces available e.g. time to bed, menstruation cycle, macro count, anxiety attacks… anything.
Last but not least update the quality of sleep you had. This is important because a lot of our function and food choices we make during the day is affected by the quality of sleep we had the night before and vice versa.
Study and Cross Reference
The biggest reason for creating the Food Diary is to have and easy visual reference to how food and lifestyle choices effects the function and performance of our bodies. If we have enough food log information along with observations we can better gauge food intolerance, unhealthy eating or drinking habits, the quantity and quality of food we take relative to the physical activities we partake as well as the quality of our sleep. With this all in one easy access information, we can easily start to break away from negative habits and break down the effects our lifestyle choices has on our body.
